Yohana Specialists can help with many things (like booking appointments, finding activities for the kids, or finding a pro to turn the garage into a playroom). We can even help with the fun stuff, like a summer road trip or much-needed date night.

Here’s a list of things Yohana is especially great at.

There are some tasks we’re not able to perform, although in many cases we are able to provide recommendations to help find someone who can. For a more extensive list, view our Acceptable Use Policy here.

We can’t perform physical errands like picking up dry cleaning. 

We can’t perform tasks that take the place of licensed professionals like doctors, lawyers or teachers. 

We can’t access your most sensitive data (like credit card numbers, driving records, bank accounts, HIPAA information, etc.). 

We can’t run your business or social media account or apply for jobs on your behalf. 

We can’t interview or book childcare providers.

We can’t manage large, complex projects like a wedding or a home remodel. (Although we are happy to handle individual parts of the project, research top-rated service providers or recommend local pros to manage the entire thing.)

We can’t complete financial transactions over $1,000 or transactions in foreign currencies. 

We can’t accept any tasks related to illegal activities, drugs and tobacco, offensive things or gambling.  

We can’t impersonate you in writing or over the phone.

We can’t manage your household finances.

We can’t create, edit or manage spreadsheets and documents.

What kind of things can Yohana do and not do?

You can select any of our currently featured to-dos right from the homepage of the mobile app. For more customization, select ‘Add to-do’ from the bottom menu and either choose from a list of popular categories or create a custom to-do from scratch. 

If you haven’t yet handed off a to-do, just select the to-do, and make any changes you need. If you’ve handed off the to-do, but it has not yet been assigned to a specialist, it will be found in the ‘Upcoming’ section. 

And for to-dos that are already in progress, simply chat with us in the ‘Messages’ tab in the to-do and we can make any adjustments. And if you ever reopen a completed or closed to-do, the specialist who helped you with the original request will jump in so you won’t have to repeat any information.

Can I edit to-dos that I’ve already handed off?

To integrate Yohana with your existing Google, Outlook or iCloud calendar, just click your avatar photo at the top-right of the desktop app, select ‘Your account’, and ‘Connect your calendar’. We can currently link calendars associated with one email address. 

To control what gets shared with us, you’ll be prompted to select from three levels of calendar access:

Full: The Yohana team can see event details (including private events) and can create, edit, and delete events.

Limited: Your events appear as ‘busy time’, and the Yohana Team can create, edit, and delete events.

Read only: Your events appear as ‘busy time’. The Yohana Team cannot add new events directly onto your calendar, but can create and email you event files to add to your own calendar.

How do I sync Yohana with my existing calendar app?

At this time, our team cannot log into our members’ online accounts to make purchases or complete to-dos, but we can make purchases at online retailers where there is a “Guest checkout” option.

Can Yohana use my existing website accounts to work on to-dos (e.g. Amazon or Instacart)?

There are two ways to chat with the Yohana Team: 

For conversations around individual to-dos, just open the to-do and use the ‘Messages’ section to communicate with the specialist assigned to that to-do.

For technical issues around the app, website or service overall, Yohana Support is available to assist. You can email them any time at support@yohana.com

At this time, membership to Yohana is by invitation or through our waitlist. If you’re interested in joining, simply contact us to inquire about availability and learn more about how to get on the waitlist.

Each Yohana account is individual and personalized to one member's needs and preferences. Currently, it’s not possible to add multiple users (such as a spouse) directly to the same account within the app. However, by using our share feature members can easily share information and options with others outside of the app. 

Our support team can help you with issues regarding Yohana's service, app, or website. They're available from 6am to 6pm, Monday through Friday. Please note that our support team observes the following closure dates:

You can access your account details on the mobile app by tapping the You tab at the bottom menu and selecting Account. From the desktop app, click your avatar at the top-right and select Your profile.

How can I update my address or other account information?

For feedback on specific to-dos, we’ll send a push notification to your mobile device that prompts your feedback after any to-do is marked completed. Just tap the notification, select a star rating (1-5), and leave any specific notes. 

To leave general feedback from the mobile app, select You at the bottom right and tap Feedback. On the desktop app, just click your avatar photo at the top-right and select Feedback.

Your monthly membership fee gives you access to a team to whom you can delegate your to-dos every month.

If we work with a third-party service provider or a local pro (like a landscaper or handyman), you’ll pay for that service separately as detailed in the options that we provide. 

What’s included in the membership fee? 

Yes. As long as your monthly membership remains active, you’ll be charged on the same day each month (the date your billing period started) for the following month’s service. 

If you signed up for Yohana with a promotion code, the first recurring $129 monthly charge (plus applicable taxes) will begin at the end of the promotion period. And remember, there is no long-term commitment with your monthly membership. You can pause or cancel at any time.

Does my Yohana membership renew automatically?

Yes, we can make purchases with your approval, at online retailers where there is a “Guest Checkout” option. When you confirm a purchase, we’ll authorize a temporary hold on your card for the estimated cost plus a 40% buffer to cover potential additional fees like shipping costs and sales tax. This will appear as a “pending” charge. The final charge will reflect the actual amount once the transaction is completed. 

Can Yohana place orders or purchases for me if I give approval?

While we can authorize most purchases, there are a few limits. For example, we can’t make purchases out of the US, buy recreational drugs, or handle transactions over $1,000. If your request falls outside of our parameters, we’ll let you know which items or third-party services you’ll need to pay for yourself. 

Are there limits to what Yohana can purchase for me?

Yes, Yohana can manage reservations that don't require a credit card hold or those that offer a guest checkout option. If a reservation requires a credit card, we'll send you a direct link to the booking so you can enter your details and secure the reservation yourself.

Pausing your membership is easy. Just click your avatar photo at the top-right of the desktop app, select “Membership”, and you'll see the pause button. Your paid membership will remain active until the end of that current billing cycle and will remain paused for up to three months.

To reactivate a paused membership, click your avatar photo at the top-right of the desktop app and select “Membership”, then “Reactivate subscription”.

To cancel your membership, log in to the desktop app, click on your avatar photo at the top-right, select “Membership” from the drop-down menu, and finally “Cancel subscription". Once you’ve canceled, your membership will remain active through the end of the current billing cycle.

Change your mind about canceling? Visit your membership settings any time to reactivate. For additional help, reach out to support@yohana.com.

We understand the importance of flexibility with your purchases. While the outcome of a refund request depends on the vendor's policies, we're committed to doing everything we can to help you through the refund request process.

Should a refund be approved, we'll credit your account, minus any processing fees, and send you a confirmation email detailing the transaction.

Can I get a refund for something Yohana purchased on my behalf?

We take our members’ privacy seriously, so we implement reasonable physical, technical and organizational measures designed to help safeguard your personal data against loss, theft, unauthorized access, use and modification. However, please note that no system is ever completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of our systems 100%.
